Growing up in Decorah, Iowa, Dr. Wells' commitment to animal health began at Iowa State University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science (Distributed Studies: Biology, Chemistry, & Psychology) and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (1990).

With over three decades of practice, Dr. Wells is a highly skilled surgeon whose passion lies in performing complex procedures. Her clinical focus includes orthopedics, sports medicine, and behavior. Above all, her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is strengthening the human-animal bond by ensuring pets live their happiest and healthiest lives.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Wells is a globally recognized champion in canine agility. She and her Border Collie, Fargo, have proudly represented Team USA for seven years, earning numerous international medals and National Championships. In fact, all three of her previous dogs have also achieved National Championship status, including one World Champion.
