Julie A. Cappel, D.V.M. (jacappel@wwvhcares.com) Dr. Cappel graduated from the Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Cappel's love for animals now focuses on small animals with her special interest being in avian (bird) medicine. She joined WWVH in 1991 and became the practice owner in 1997. Dr. Cappel serves as a council member for the South East Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and served as their president in 2006. She is also currently on the board of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Cappel is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians as well as a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Outside of managing the WWVH practice, she loves spending time with her children, and is an active member of the Davis Junior High Copy Moms and the Stevenson Band and Drama Boosters. Dr. Cappel also enjoys dog training and dance class. She has 2 dogs, 2 cats and one bird and also works with rescue dogs and cats at the hospital. |

Jennifer Khalifah, D.V.M. (jkhalifah@wwvhcares.com) Dr Khalifah graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 1997. She started at Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital in December 2000 as an associate veterinarian. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and South East Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. She is also currently a council member for the S.E.M.V.M.A. |

Therese Hagewood, D.V.M (thagewood@wwvhcares.com) Dr Hagewood is a 1989 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her Bachelors of Science in biology and biochemistry from Purdue University. She has been doing relief work for Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital since 2001. She has a special interest in pocket pets and soft tissue surgery. She has been an active member of Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association since 1990. She loves sports, camping and hiking. Her husband is also a veterinarian and they have been married since 1987. Their family also includes of two teenage daughters and three dogs. |

Eva Groesbeck, D.V.M (egroesbeck@wwvhcares.com) Dr. Groesbeck graduated from Michigan State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She has practiced in the tri-county area for the past four years prior to joining the Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital team. She is looking forward to working with exotics and has a special interest in rabbit medicine. Additionally, she plans to pursue training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and hopes to offer these treatment options to her patients in her near future. |
