Preventive care of all pets, including birds and reptiles.

We are proud to announce that since 2010 we have been among the 15% of AAHA accredited hospitals. AAHA is the American Animal Hospital Association; it is the only voluntary accrediation program for veterinary hospitals and sets the standard for veterinary excellence.

To be AAHA accredited our hospital must demonstrate an exceptional level of medical care and client service. We are evaluated by over 900 standards, which are periodically reviewed and updated, and compliance is confirmed with hospital visits and evaluations. This is done to ensure we remain compliant with the changes in veterinary medicine and technology. This rigorous evaluation includes patient care, record keeping, pain management, hospital cleanliness, surgical techniques, safety precautions, proper employee training, employee continuing education, and radiographic techniques.

Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital has been providing veterinary health care to the community in a family atomosphere since 1966. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care possible to your pet. Our doctors have special training, experience and interest in canine and feline medicine, as well as avian and exotic pets.  We offer comprehensive care at our full service, state-of-the-art facility.

Treating and caring for exotic pets requires dedication and extensive training. Our veterinarians have a passion for exotic pets and are always working on expanding their expertise and staying up to date with the latest standards regarding their medical care and husbandry.

Our exotic patients include birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, degus, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, reptiles, and more!

Merida

Merida is a black and white domestic shorthair cat who is about 5 years of age. She was found outside and was very ill. She was very anemic and thin and was infested with fleas and earmites. The good Samaritan who found her tried to keep her, but her own cat did not get along with her. She brought Merida to the hospital for treatment and boarding, and as a donation she paid for the initial tests, treatment, and care for Merida. We weren’t sure if this sweet cat was going to survive, she was so ill! She used up at least one of her 9 lives on this adventure! Merida is doing well now, has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccines for the year. She has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, is clear of intestinal parasites, and has had other bloodwork done during her illness which is now normal. After a long road to recovery, Merida is now looking for a home of her own where she can live out the rest of her 9 lives as an indoor cat with a loving family. She is an adult so may need time to adjust to another adult cat in a home or to cat friendly dogs. Merida is very sweet and loving and loves attention.
